What does this surgery envolve?

Little penis is a mere aesthetical and psychological problem.

In the world literature we can find the description of varied treatments that aim to increase the penis. There are great ethical discussions to decide if those treatments should be accepted by the medical societies.

Here, we will only describe the fat auto-implant on the penis. By means of a liposcupture, made with syringe, it is possible to increase only the penis diameter in until 4-cm.

The fat is taken off from the flanks, abdomen, back or knees, wherever it may exist in sufficient amount to be implanted in the penis.

Previous studies determined that you couldn’t implant more than 60-ml fat in the penis, by session. You can find, in the specific literature, the description of penian tissue necrosis (death of the tissue) after implanting 100-ml fat in it. If you wish to implant more than 80-ml, this must be done in a second session, after a year. There always will be a reabsorption of approximately 50% of what has been implanted.

What kind of scar will I have?

A little perforation of approximately 3-cm will be done on the donor area. The scar is peculiar for each patient. On the penis itself, there will be no scars, because it will not be cut, the fat being implanted through a needle, connected to a 10-ml syringe.

Is this a painfull treatment? what anesthesia will be used?

The anesthesia may be local with sedation. There is no need to use epidural or general anesthesia, since this is a very light treatment.

What may go wrong?

Infection is always a big trouble in any surgery. Although it is rarely seen in plastic surgery, this is a potentially contaminated area. A rigorous cleaning is of fundamental importance. Any other fat implant may seldom present some nodules after the surgery. They usually disappear with local massage. The biggest complication is the dissatisfaction of the patient. Although it was previously explained to him about the impossibility to increase his penis in more than 4-cm in diameter, he expects a bigger increase.

In how long time may I resume my normal activities?

You are allowed to have immersion baths and sexual intercourse only after 40 days. After 24 hours you can resume your work activities, with the exception of some rough activities, cited above.

What cares should I take after the surgery?

The use of criotherapy (ice bags) is very efficient, it helps to diminish the swelling more rapidly. Local massage avoids the formation of nodules. Rigorous cleaning is mandatory, mainly after going to the toilet for defecation or urination. You should use antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory for 7 days.
