What does this surgery envolve? Fan-shaped ear: Since most of men use short hair, their ears are visible. If they are too separate from the skull, they become unaesthetic and need some correction. We break the cartilage that supports the auricular pavilion with a fusiform incision on its posterior portion. With plies on it, we get to approximate the auricular pavilion to the skull. Ear lobule correction: With a little incision, also fusiform, we can reduce the lobule of the ear, so correcting the pendular shape, typical of old age. What type of anesthesia is it indicated? Local anesthesia and sedation, in both cases. How long time does it take? Approximately one hour in both cases. What happens after the surgery? There appears a certain discomfort, but it is bearable. In the correction of fan-shaped ear it is necessary to use a compressive dressing for 5 days. What cares should I have after the surgery? Don’t sleep on your ears. In the case of fan-shaped ears, after the 5th day, you should use an elastic band on your ears to help modeling them. In the correction of the ear lobule you don’t need any dressing. Use antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory for 7 days. Local cleaning is of fundamental importance. |
