CARNAUBA WAX - NOBLE USES

         Originaly used as raw material for candle and polish products and for other such simple applications, the Carnauba Wax has a growing presence in advanced technology industries, today registering over 3.000 uses with 150 different applications.
         This versality is assured by its unique properties. Carnauba is the hardest of the natural waxes, with a needle penetration of less than1. It has the highest melting point off all natural waxes, 181º. f (83ºc). The Carnauba Wax is brittle, non-tacky and has the ability to retain oil, has excellent gelling propeties and is emulsifiable, making it applicable especially in the food and pharmaceutical industries, where it substitutes mineral and petrochemical waxes that can be hazardful to health. It is available in powdered, lump or flake form.
